Floyd Mayweather has revealed he expects to make over $300 million for his fight against Conor McGregor on August 26.
The undefeated boxer came up with the figure in Showtime’s recent All Access: Mayweather v. McGregor preview. Conditions of the purse split have not been made public, but providing fans start buying seats, such numbers don’t seem so out of line. Mayweather said:

I mean, am I the highest-paid athlete out there? And just coming back? We not talking about no contract. We not talking about no contract for no 4 years, or no contract for no 5 years. I can do it in 36 minutes. $300 (million) or better. In 36 minutes.

When broken down, that works out at around $8 million per minute in the ring. McGregor, meanwhile, is expected to rake in around $100 million — far less, but still his biggest pay check to date.
Still, it’s not all good news for the man dubbed “Money.” ESPN analysts Darren Rovell and Dan Rafael claim in a new projection that the Mayweather-McGregor fight will gross less than the total Mayweather-Pacquiao banked two years ago. The experts claim the fight will take in around $606 million: $17 million less than Mayweather’s previous “super fight.”

Wao!! Lagos Bus Conductors Will Start Wearing Uniform From Today

From today, bus conductors in Lagos will start wearing uniform as part of efforts to promote the Smart City Initiatives, SCI, of the state government.

This was disclosed by the National President of the Bus Conductors Association of Nigeria, BCAN, Comrade Israel Adeshola, in an interview with Vanguard. According to him, the Lagos State government has approved the association’s uniforms and badges with name tag and identification numbers for easy identification of registered conductors.

He said the use of badges on uniforms is to address criminal tendencies by some bus conductors, calling on Lagosians to support the initiative. According to him; ‘’The re-branding of bus conductors in the state which is in partnership with the Lagos State Government is a project that has been in the master plan of the state government in a way to stem criminal activities and also protect the lives and properties of Lagosians. ‘’The BCAN has been partnering with the state government through the ministry of transportation to train members of the association who are now registered by the government.’’ Adeshola, who said the conductor’s job was vital in the transportation sector, noted that the organization has embarked on sensitization and training of members since inception. He also said that the objective is to make conductor’s job attractive, respected and dignified as obtainable globally.

I AM TEKNO'S BIGGEST FAN - SEGUN ARINZE

Nollywood actor, Segun Arinze, says he desires to do a musical collaboration with Augustine Miles Kelechi, popularly known as Tekno, in future.
Arinze disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Wednesday in Abuja.
“Right now, I am more focused in my career as an actor and TV presenter; you know I’m doing the Give and Take Lottery on TV.
“So. I am focused on that, but you never can tell; if I want to do a collabo, it should be with Tekno; I like Tekno; I’m his biggest fan.
“However, I like Davido, Wizkid Tekno, Phyno and the rest; I am impressed with what they are doing.
“However, many be in a near future it will come through, you never can tell, it might be a blend of the old and young,’’ Arinze said.
Arinze explained that artists like Timi Dakolo Wizkid, Davido and others might be doing something with him, but declined to give the details.
He reiterated that he was impressed with what Nigerian musical artists were doing on world stage.
“For Davido, it is a big point for him that somebody like R. Kelly can use his music for remix; he should be proud about that and Nigerians should also be proud for him.’’
NAN reports that the talented actor released a music album, `Nwanyi Yanga’ in 1992.
Arinze was born in Onitsha, Anambra to a Yoruba father and an Igbo mother.
He attended Victory College of Commerce in Ilorin, then proceeded to Taba Commercial College in Kaduna State to complete his secondary education.
Arinze studied Dramatic Arts at the Obafemi Awolowo University.
